After you mixed the ingredients together, the mixture will be somewhat sticky. Chill it for 15 minutes, 3 ounce balls are ideal.
Use a couple of spoons or forks, and a spatula to keep the balls moving around in the skillet. Gently press them to help them keep their shape.
We use this amazingly flavorful classic Italian sauce so often, we usually double the recipe and then freeze what we don’t need.
The marinara definitely gets better and better after it has time to sit and cool and for the ingredients to truly meld.
Place the meatballs in a simmering pot of homemade marinara to finish cooking and absorb even more flavor from the sauce.
