Day-After Thanksgiving Breakfast Casserole

Okay, this has been made in many kitchens for many years.  But, you just can’t go wrong with this one.  Perfect for a holiday morning breakfast or brunch.   It’s Day-After Thanksgiving Breakfast Casserole.  And it’s certainly the Loon’s favorite breakfast casserole.  Assemble the night before, pop in the oven the next morning, maybe pour a mimosa or cup of hot coffee (or both)…and enjoy!!
 
Assemble the night before so all the ingredients can get real friendly and really bond with each other.

This is Everybody’s Favorite Breakfast casserole, just before it goes into the fridge (covered) for the night
Recipe:
 
Ingredients:
2 cups cooked turkey, chopped
6 eggs
2 cups of milk
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of dry mustard
2 slices of white bread, cubed
1.5 cups of shredded cheddar
 
Directions:
  1. Butter a 9×13 dish
  2. Gently mix eggs with milk, salt and mustard.  
  3. Gently stir in chicken, bread cubes, cheese and sausage.
  4. Cover with foil and put in the fridge overnight
  5. Next morning, pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  6. Take casserole out of fridge, let stand for about 15 minutes.
  7. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
  8. Let stand for about 5 minutes.
  9. Slice and serve!
