How to Make a Michelada (Beer Cocktail) is the latest from our Video Series.  A Michelada is a beer concoction that Wesley discovered, and boy is it good.  It originated in Mexico, and every state in the country has its own version.  This particular version is known as the Michaloona.  Watch, learn and laugh!  100% Loon (and Kris) Approved!

This Michelada (Beer Cocktail) is the perfect drink for watching the big game, tailgating, or just relaxing on a lazy day. So delicious!
Recipe type: Cocktail

Serves: 1
  • Several limes, cut into wedges
  • Seasoned salt, or coarse sea salt
  • ½ bottle Mexican beer, ie, Cerveza
  • ½ cups quality tomato juice
  • Juice of one lime
  • Two dashes of Worcestershire sauce
  • Two to three dashes of hot sauce (Tobasco), to taste, optional
  • ¼ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon juice from a jar of pickles pepperoncini
  1. Moisten the edge of a tall beer glass with lime wedge.
  2. Rim the top of the glass with salt (place salt in a small plate, and invert the glass into the salt, gently twisting).
  3. Fill glass with ice.
  4. Add beer and remaining ingredients.
  5. Gently stir.
  6. Garnish with pepperoncini and lime.
  7. Enjoy!
