A Special Message from Kris and Wesley

Hey everybody!  So, you may have noticed that we have been kind of quiet in the past few months.  Well, it’s not because nothing has been going on.   We would like to share with you our story.  Please take a listen and then visit:  www.oragndonor.og.   Thank you, we have missed you…and we are back!  Better than ever!!

  • Hey you guys, I sensed something was wrong with your absence or you took an incredible vacation you didn’t tell us about. As one of your remote internet family members, I cried to hear about Wes. I’m glad it all worked out in the end and you guys are back. Just a note that I have been on the fence about donating and you pushed me off. My wife and I just signed up on the dot.gov site with our state program. Stay well my friends, and keep the good stuff coming.

    • Mitch,
Thank you so much. As we mentioned in the video, we wanted to share our story, just so folks could know why we’ve been away for a while. But mostly, so people could see the beauty of organ donors. What you said in your note literally made both Wesley and me tear up. Thank you for your support, and for becoming a donor. Life is so precious, so let’s make the most of it while we share our time on this spinning ball, shall we? Stay in touch. We’ve got so much more to come.

      Thanks again,
      Kris & Wesley

  • Dear Kris & Wesley:
My neighbor received a kidney from a living donor, her sister. That was 10 years ago, ya’ll.

Medical Miracles are facilitated by a higher power, working through professionals as well as ordinary people…donors, family and friends who intervene to help with even the simple tasks as driving to and from appointments, help with house and pet sitting, meal making and fund raising (down here chicken bogs) to help with expenses.

Within each of us is an opportunity to be the light. Our quests here is to learn to ‘always be the light’, though something as simple as prayer! Is there a fund me page? WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP?

Sending healing energies, prayers, love, light, abundance and life energies to you.

    Infinite blessings,
    Carolina Girl

    • Thank you so much, Carolina Girl! We agree…prayer, love, goodwill, and fate got us through this.

Spreading the word of love and the impact that being an organ donor has on so many lives is more than enough to do to help.

Thank you with all of our hearts,

      God bless!!

      Kris & Wesley

  • This made me cry, y’all. More importantly, it made me click on that link and hop on over to register as an organ donor in my lovely state of Georgia. I’m so thankful you have one another and the love and support of friends and family for this was surely a frightening time. I wish you both continued good health and healing, and for y’all to get back in that kitchen as soon as possible!

  • You two are simply amazing! The world needs more Kris and Wes’s for sure. I certainly miss being in your presence but am so so so thankful that you’re around to bless those who are lucky enough to know you. Cheers to a seemless recovery and amazing life. All my best!!! ❤️❤️

    • You are so sweet and kind, Liz! Thank you so much! You are a precious soul yourself. So happy for the happiness in your life, too.

Thank you again, hope to see you again in the not-so-far future!! God bless!!

      Love,
      Kris & Wesley

  • Wow! It really opens your eyes to some wonderful people who donate! And to the so many Doctors and Nurses who don’t get the oscars! And put countless of hours into saving lives! The dedication……….
they must be hand picked!…..All the best to you! xo Susan

    • Couldn’t agree more, Susan. They are heroes, for sure. So very much to be thankful for. Thank you for your words, and please stay in touch. xoxo

      Best,
      Kris & Wesley

  • Gentlemen, I’m so sorry to hear of Wesley’s medical issue, but I’m delighted to know he’s well and you’re back. Being an organ donor, which I am, is one of the most important things we can do one another. Stay well, both of you, and I look forward to your upcoming antic-filled videos!

    Warmly,

    David

    • Thank you, David, so very much!! It has been a harrowing few months, but we are out of the storm and ready to take on life again! Food, laughter and love is such a big part of our lives, and that has helped us through…though I have to say mostly love the past 3 months. But now…more food and laughter!

We are such HUGE fans of everything you do, and feel honored that you reached out to us. Even though I (Kris) met you briefly in NYC a couple years ago, I’d love for Wesley to meet you, too.

Anyway, thanks again. Here’s to life!!

      Best,
      Kris & Wesley

  • Omigoodness ! I have wondered where you went and I am so happy to hear that despite what sounds like life altering struggles you saw the other side and are doing well! Organ donation is liiiiffffeeeee- thank u for sharing your story.

  • Hello gentlemen! I’ve made quite a few of your recipes and every single one of them has been a big success. Thank you for that.

I noticed in recent posts how much weight Wesley has lost and was a little concerned. Now I know why. Thanks for sharing your touching and miraculous story. This is the type of news that makes life good!

Looking forward to more great recipes!

    Love,
    Jessi

    • And Jessi,

It’s people like YOU that make life so great. Thank you so very much. We are beyond thankful, grateful and any word we can find to explain how fortunate and blessed we feel. The love and support is amazing.

Keep your eyes peeled…we’re just getting going here at How to Feed a Loon!!

      Much love,
      Kris & Wesley
